John Forder guilty of stealing 44 ewes (valued at £40), 1 wether (valued at 12/-) and 21 ewe lambs (valued at £15), the property of Stephen Wake in the parish of Martyr Worthy on 3rd June 1790.  Hampshire Chronicle of 16th August mutilated (Winchester news removed).  Paper of 9th August says “ it is reported a reprieve, preparatory to His Majesty’s Pardon, has come down for Forder.  He remains under sentence of death which will be put into effect on Tuesday next should no further respite or reprieve arrive.  No reprieve traced.  No record of execution.
